ExxonMobil Exploration Archival Project

Function
These display cases, designed and installed by MKG Art Management, trace the history of Standard Oil in a visually exciting and informative way for the pavilion at ExxonMobil Exploration’s offices in Greenspoint.  To complete the project, MKG Art Management reviewed hundreds of documents and artifacts, selecting those which held the most visual and narrative interest to illustrate company history. The scope of the project consisted of designing, producing and installing these materials for the pavilion area wall as well as for the three display cases in the corridor.

Aesthetics
The aesthetic is clean and minimal, with all attention directed to the archival material within.

Site Specificity
These display cases work within an architect designed environment to complement the hall space.  During the day, natural light allows for viewing of the material and in the evening the display cases are dramatically lit.
