Function
Natco, originally National Tank Company of Oklahoma, has a long history in the oil supply business which began in the 1930s. Natco sought to mix fine art and company materials to achieve an interior décor that highlighted company history and expertise. MKG Art Management reviewed and selected archival photographs, catalogue illustrations, and hand drawn plans for tanks and other industrial material. With this abundance of source material MKG was able to populate all the non-executive floors with company imagery by printing the images on vellum and high gloss paper.
Aesthetics
These pieces were printed in a large scale format, and their vintage quality gave them a retro look. The imagery also refers directly to the employee’s profession and many were attracted to the relatable imagery. The framing is simple, and the images were selected for their color and/or graphic qualities.
Site Sensitivity
These works elevated and celebrated Natco’s company culture while at the same time enlivening the workspace.
